HKS at Tiefbau Live 2023

26.04.2023

At TiefbauLive (RATL), HKS Dreh-Antriebe GmbH will be presenting its extensive range of services in the field of rotary and swiveling tools and also has some future trends on the agenda.

With the BVC 2.0 series for excavator classes from 1t to 12t, HKS has created a lighter and more powerful version than the previous model. With a now internal encapsulated wiper, the same mode of operation, a better protection against external influences such as UV radiation, high-pressure cleaners or welding processes during assembly is given. In addition, higher torques can now be achieved.

The new development of the XtraTilt BVS solution, convinces in 7 sizes with a clever connection concept, which allows mounting by means of a screw connection on the fixed stem connection. Welding is no longer necessary, which means faster replacement. With the new TiltRotator TR 90, HKS has created a lower and lighter version for excavator classes 5.5 to 9t. and impresses with improved breakout and breakaway forces, as well as more efficient kinematics.

The digital highlight is the prototype study of the XtraSense for the XtraTilt, which was developed in cooperation with the development partner core sensing from Darmstadt.

The now second field tests are already underway and have already delivered further valuable data. By means of integrated sensor technology in the XtraTilt, the currently acting loads are determined in both directions, sent to the display in the excavator and shown in graphic form. The excavator operator recognizes the loads acting on the XtraTilt and can control them better. Data can be retrieved at any time via a cloud connection, and damage reports and maintenance notifications can also be displayed.

Günter Höhn, Managing Director of HKS Dreh-Antriebe GmbH: "Thanks to investments in the expansion and automation of our production that have already been made and will be made in the future, we will be able to significantly reduce our delivery times and adapt them to market requirements in 2023.
